Bill Summary
AN ACT to amend the tax law, in relation to establishing a small business tax credit for certain efforts taken to improve such small business's facility in an effort to reduce the spread of infectious diseases
AI Summary
This bill establishes a small business tax credit for certain efforts taken to improve a small business's facility in an effort to reduce the spread of infectious diseases. The credit is equal to the amount of money spent by the eligible small business (defined as having 50 or fewer employees) to construct, install, build, and/or equip their facility with new amenities primarily intended to reduce the spread of infectious diseases, up to a maximum of $5,000 per location. The credit can be carried over for up to 3 years if it exceeds the small business's tax liability for the current year. The bill also specifies that the small business cannot claim this credit if they have already claimed another tax credit for the same basis of calculation.
