The resolution acknowledges that these essential workers, including healthcare professionals, first responders, and many others who interact with the public, played a vital role in protecting public health and safety and minimizing disruptions to daily life, and it respectfully requests the Governor to issue annual proclamations encouraging the observance of this day with appropriate activities.
