To provide that an eligible facilities request under section 6409(a) of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 is categorically excluded from the requirement to prepare certain environmental or historical preservation reviews. This bill excludes certain wireless facility modification requests from specified review requirements. Specifically, the bill excludes from specified environmental and historic preservation review any request for modification of an existing wireless tower or base station that involves (1) collocation of new transmission equipment, (2) removal of transmission equipment, or (3) replacement of transmission equipment.
