This bill authorizes the town of Groton to grant two additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be consumed off-premises. The licenses are restricted to establishments located within two specific development zones in the town: the Route 225 Corridor (West Groton Village) and Four Corners. The licensing authority can grant these licenses under certain conditions, and the licenses cannot be transferred outside of the designated zones. If a license is terminated or not renewed, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant. The bill requires that all licenses be issued within 3 years of the effective date of the act.
