This bill establishes the State Commission on Prosecutorial Conduct, which shall investigate complaints against prosecutors and may recommend to the Governor that a prosecutor be removed from office for cause, such as misconduct, failure to perform duties, or conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. The Commission shall transmit its findings and recommendations to the Appellate Division, which may accept or reject the recommended sanction, impose a different sanction, or impose no sanction. The Governor retains the ultimate authority to remove a prosecutor from office based on the Commission's findings and recommendations.
