This bill creates an Office of the Ombudsman for Worker Protection within the Office of the Attorney General. The office can collect relevant data to support investigations, while keeping the employee or worker's identity confidential. The office can coordinate with law enforcement, municipal governments, public health officials, and other agencies to properly investigate and resolve complaints. The office must also provide annual reports to various legislative committees detailing the number of claims filed and resolved, the nature of the claims, and the industries investigated.
