This bill, the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps Act, would establish a Civilian Conservation Corps program within the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to provide grants to state and local boards to carry out conservation projects using qualified youth or conservation corps criteria. The bill would also provide supplemental appropriations for the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to conduct hazardous fuels management activities, as well as funding for the Reforestation Trust Fund to increase reforestation on federal lands and through a new Reforest America Grant Program. Additionally, the bill would provide increased funding and incentives for agricultural producers to implement climate stewardship practices through the Conservation Stewardship Program.
