This bill requires the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to ensure that its PreCheck Program has a secure end-to-end online web or mobile application enrollment capability as the primary enrollment technology solution. It also ensures that individuals who previously enrolled in the PreCheck Program under the Universal Enrollment Services program are eligible for renewal under the new online enrollment process. The bill also requires the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Attorney General to enter into a memorandum of understanding to evaluate and approve a capability for remote collection of biometric information and vetting of individuals' criminal histories for the PreCheck Program. Additionally, the bill requires the TSA to submit an implementation plan for the new online enrollment capability, which must include appropriate security and privacy protections.
