AI Summary

This bill directs the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate to arrange for the posthumous presentation of a Congressional Gold Medal in commemoration of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old African American boy who was brutally lynched in 1955, and his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, who bravely brought national attention to his murder and became a catalyst for the civil rights movement. After the award, the medal will be given to the National Museum of African American History and Culture for display. The bill also allows the Treasury Secretary to strike and sell duplicate bronze medals to cover the costs of producing the original gold medal.
