The bill establishes prescribed fire accounts in the Treasury to fund various prescribed fire-related activities, including hiring additional personnel, providing training, conducting post-prescribed burning activities, and assisting state, tribal, local government, and private prescribed fire programs. The bill also creates a collaborative prescribed fire program and a large cross-boundary prescribed fire incentive program, and includes provisions to facilitate implementation and outreach, such as cooperative agreements, human resource provisions, liability protections, and environmental review efficiencies.
