Bill Summary

Currently, a person eligible to vote is required to register at least 21 days prior to an election in order to vote in that election. This bill would provide that a person eligible to vote may register up to 14 days prior to an election and vote in that election. The bill would not affect the constitutional requirement that a person must reside in a county for 30 days prior to an election in order to be eligible to vote in that election.

AI Summary

This bill permits voter registration up to 14 days before an election, instead of the current 21-day requirement. Currently, a person must register at least 21 days prior to an election in order to vote in that election. This bill would allow a person to register up to 14 days before an election and still be eligible to vote in that election. The bill would not affect the existing 30-day residency requirement to be eligible to vote in a particular county.
