This Resolution establishes a Select Committee on Election Integrity within the House of Representatives to thoroughly investigate, review, and propose recommendations regarding the rules and execution of the 2020 general election. The committee will examine actions and guidance from the Department of State and county election officials, compare Pennsylvania's election practices to those of other states, and identify any necessary legislative or regulatory changes to improve future elections. The committee will consist of five members of the House of Representatives, with three from the majority party and two from the minority party, and will have the authority to hold hearings, subpoena witnesses and documents, administer oaths, and employ staff. The committee is also empowered to sit during legislative sessions, and its expenses will be covered by the House of Representatives. The State Government Committee will provide assistance, and the committee is required to submit reports of its findings and recommendations to the House of Representatives.
