Bill Summary

To reimburse meals and supplements provided to individuals who have not attained the age of 25 under certain meal programs authorized under the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act, and for other purposes. This bill directs the Department of Agriculture to reimburse institutions that are emergency shelters for meals and supplements provided under the Child and Adult Care Food Program during the COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019) public health emergency to individuals who have not attained the age of 25 and who are receiving assistance from such shelters. Under current law, individuals who are older than age 18 are not eligible to participate in the program.
