This bill authorizes the town of Dedham to grant one additional license for the sale of wine and malt beverages to be consumed on the premises. The license can only be exercised in the dining room and other public areas of a common victualler, as certified by the licensing authority. The license cannot be transferred to a different location, but it can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and Department of Unemployment Assistance. Any terminated or unused licenses must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant the license to a new applicant under the same conditions. All licenses granted under this act must be issued within one year of the bill's effective date.
