This bill, the Fair Access to Financial Services Act of 2020, prohibits financial institutions from discriminating against individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, or sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity). It entitles all persons to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, and accommodations of financial institutions. The bill also provides individuals who are aggrieved by a violation of this prohibition with a private right of action to seek preventive relief, including injunctions and restraining orders, and allows courts to award reasonable attorney's fees to the prevailing party.
