This bill proposes to add a sales and use tax exemption for certain feminine hygiene products, including tampons, sanitary napkins, menstrual sponges and pads, and other similar items sold for the purpose of feminine hygiene during the menstrual cycle. The bill also specifies that the change in law does not affect tax liability accrued before the effective date of September 1, 2021, and that the former law continues to apply for the collection and enforcement of those prior tax liabilities.
