Relative to consumer protection on online automobile franchise transactions

AI Summary

This bill amends the existing Massachusetts law to exempt certain online automobile franchise transactions from the consumer protection provisions of Section 48 of Chapter 93 of the General Laws. Specifically, the bill excludes transactions where a buyer signs a written contract for the sale of a new or used motor vehicle by electronic means away from the seller's place of business, as long as the seller provides written notice to the buyer that the consumer protection provisions do not apply to the transaction.
