This bill extends the time a person may claim outstanding parimutuel tickets for horse races from six months to 12 months. It also allows additional time to claim outstanding parimutuel tickets and unclaimed cash vouchers due to the Public Health Emergency declared by the Governor. Specifically, the bill provides that winning outstanding parimutuel tickets purchased during the Public Health Emergency period may be claimed and paid out within one year following the end of the Emergency. Similarly, unclaimed cash vouchers issued or purchased since March 16, 2017 may be claimed and paid out within one year following the end of the Emergency. Additionally, the bill delays the requirement for permit holders to pay outstanding parimutuel tickets and unclaimed cash vouchers to certain accounts until one year after the end of the Emergency, to allow for the additional time to claim those funds.
