AI Summary

This bill prohibits the intentional performance or inducement of an abortion if the healthcare provider knows the pregnant woman is seeking the abortion due to a test result, prenatal diagnosis, or other reason indicating the unborn child has Down syndrome. Physicians who violate this prohibition are subject to penalties, including license revocation and civil liability. The bill also requires attending physicians to indicate in a report to the Department of Health that they do not have knowledge the abortion was sought due to Down syndrome.
