This bill allows the town of Tisbury to convert existing licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises to licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages or wine and malt beverages to be consumed on the premises. The bill removes the requirement that such beverages must be consumed with meals, but imposes other conditions, such as a seating capacity of at least 30 persons, a restriction that sales of alcoholic beverages not exceed 35% of the restaurant's gross sales, and a limit on sales after 11 PM, except at the discretion of the board of selectmen. The bill also allows the town to issue new licenses under these terms and grant seasonal licenses.
