This bill authorizes the town of Tewksbury to grant 7 additional licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages to be drunk on the premises. Specifically, the bill allows the town's licensing authority to issue 5 additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages and 2 additional licenses for the sale of wines and malt beverages, to be located within the town's Commercial Zoning District or Office Research District. The licenses cannot be transferred outside of those districts, and if a license is cancelled or no longer used, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant in the designated districts. The licenses can only be exercised in the dining room of a Common Victualer and other public areas deemed appropriate by the licensing authority. All licenses must be issued within 3 years of the bill's effective date.
