This bill expands the list of unlawful employment practices to include certain actions against employees and job applicants with medical needs related to pregnancy. It requires employers to provide written notice of the right to be free from discrimination related to pregnancy, including the right to reasonable accommodations, and to post such notice in the workplace. The bill also requires the Florida Commission on Human Relations to develop educational and outreach programs to inform employers, employees, and job applicants about their rights and responsibilities under the law. The bill does not preempt or diminish any other employer policies or provisions of law relating to sex or pregnancy discrimination.
