This bill amends the General Municipal Law to require industrial development agencies (IDAs) to include at least one representative from a local labor organization and at least one school board member on their boards. The bill also provides a new definition of "labor organization" to mean any organization that exists for the purpose of collective bargaining, dealing with employers on employment-related matters, or providing mutual aid and protection, and is not a company union.
