This bill requires that a political contribution made by a limited liability company (LLC) be allocated to its members for the purpose of determining whether a member has exceeded the contribution limits set forth in state law. The bill specifies that for a single-member LLC, the entire contribution will be attributed to the member, while for a multi-member LLC, the contribution will be allocated based on each member's percentage ownership. If a member of an LLC is itself an LLC, the portion of the contribution allocated to that member will be further allocated among its own members based on their percentage ownership. The LLC making the contribution must provide the recipient with the names, addresses, and allocation amounts for all members.
