AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the creation of a public database of projects funded in the state budget
AI Summary
This bill amends the Executive Law to create a public database of all projects funded in the state budget. The database will include the dollar amount allocated to each project and the last name of the member(s) of the legislature who submitted the funding request. The database will be published online on the Division of Budget's website and updated annually after the passage of the state budget. The database will also include any funds allocated to private organizations that are not otherwise required by law to disclose their funding sources.
