This bill clarifies the process for termination of a rental of a shared facility and the remedies for tenants. Specifically, it states that the process for termination of tenancy of a shared facility, as described in the existing law (RSA 540-B:3), shall apply instead of the eviction process detailed in RSA 540. Additionally, the bill specifies that tenants of shared facilities must identify in their petition that their rental is governed by RSA 540-B, and that tenants do not have the same remedies for tenant lockout if the owner or agent has complied with the requirements of RSA 540-B:3.
