This bill revises the qualifications and requirements for county veteran service officers in Mississippi. The key provisions are: 1. County veteran service officers must be honorably discharged or released veterans, the surviving spouse or child of a deceased veteran, or a person employed as a county veteran service officer as of March 30, 1990. 2. County veteran service officers must attend annual training programs, successfully complete a written examination, be certified and accredited according to federal regulations, and follow the rules and regulations of the Mississippi State Veterans' Affairs Board. 3.
