This bill creates the Illinois Future of Work Task Force, which will identify and assess new and emerging technologies that can impact employment, wages, and skills, develop job standards and working conditions to build a vibrant middle class, identify potential future jobs and opportunities, compile research and best practices on deploying technology to benefit workers and the public, develop tools to assess the impact of proposed technologies, and propose workforce development programs for the jobs of the future. The Task Force will be composed of members representing diverse stakeholders, submit a final report by November 2021, and be dissolved upon filing the report. The Act will be repealed on January 1, 2023.
