This bill amends the Civil Service Law to authorize a court to order a temporary cost-of-living increase in salary to be paid by an employer to employees if the court grants injunctive relief in favor of the employer. The temporary increase would be calculated based on the current rate of inflation or the average rate during the employees' most recent contract period, or at a rate determined by the court. This temporary cost-of-living increase would not be binding on the final negotiated contract between the employer and employees.
