This bill amends the existing law to allow certain disabled veterans who were rated as 100% disabled during their military service to hunt and fish without acquiring separate hunting or fishing licenses. Specifically, the bill allows a resident of Iowa who has served in the U.S. armed forces and was disabled or a prisoner of war during their service to obtain a lifetime fishing or hunting/fishing combined license upon payment of the required fee. Additionally, such veterans who were rated as 100% disabled during their service can now hunt and fish without needing to acquire separate hunting or fishing licenses, as long as they can provide proof of their age, residency, veteran status, and disability status when requested by a department officer.
