AI Summary
This bill aims to improve the public health knowledge of students in public schools in Washington state. It requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to identify the public health knowledge and skills that high school students (grades 9-12) need to know and apply to support healthy behaviors, outcomes, and communities. These new public health learning standards and outcomes will be integrated into the state's health and physical education standards, taking effect in the 2022-23 school year. To help develop these standards, the bill also creates a Public Health Education Advisory Committee to provide advice and recommendations to the Superintendent.
