This bill provides a sales and compensating use tax exemption for goods and services valued at less than $110 in certain business zone areas of New York City that are within 100 feet of authorized construction for a period of six months. The business zone areas include specific streets and intersections in Manhattan, such as 125th Street, 2nd Avenue, and the Bowery. The commissioner will determine the period of authorized construction for each designated business zone area.
