The bill amends the criminal procedure law to exclude these emergency personnel from the requirement to disclose their names and contact information to the defendant as part of the discovery process. Additionally, the bill expands the list of factors the court must consider in determining "good cause" for issuing a protective order to withhold discovery material, including the protection of the confidentiality of these emergency personnel.
