This bill makes it a Class B misdemeanor for a male to knowingly or intentionally enter a restroom designated for females, or for a female to knowingly or intentionally enter a restroom designated for males. The bill provides defenses if the person enters the opposite-gender restroom for custodial purposes, to render assistance, or if a person under 12 years old accompanies a parent, guardian, custodian, teacher, or babysitter. The bill also defines "female" and "male" for the purposes of this chapter of the Indiana Code.
