This bill amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code to allow the holder of a mixed beverage permit to deliver or have delivered, by a third party, alcoholic beverages from the permitted premises to an ultimate consumer located off-premises. The bill specifies the types of alcoholic beverages that can be delivered, including malt beverages (beer, ale) in original sealed containers and other alcoholic beverages in single-serving sealed containers or in tamper-proof containers mixed by the permit holder. The bill also allows permit holders to allow ultimate consumers to pick up and remove these types of alcoholic beverages from the permitted premises. The bill includes requirements for verifying the age and identity of the person receiving the delivery or pickup, and prohibits transporting certain types of alcoholic beverages in the passenger area of a motor vehicle.
