This bill establishes a fee schedule for facilities conducting permitted solid waste management activities or seeking a permit for the management of solid waste. It amends existing law to require the state to adopt regulations setting a fee schedule based on the costs incurred by the Division of Solid Waste, including administrative costs and costs for investigations by other state departments and agencies. The bill also creates the Solid Waste Permit Fund, which will be administered by the Division and used to fund the administration and operation of the solid waste program. All fees collected under this law will be deposited into the Solid Waste Permit Fund.
