This bill allows allocations from the Public School Capital Outlay Fund to fully fund the demolition of abandoned school district facilities. Specifically, the bill provides that the Public School Capital Outlay Council can make allocations from the fund for the purpose of demolishing abandoned school district facilities if the costs of continuing to insure the abandoned facility outweigh any potential benefit when a new facility is needed, and there is no practical use for the abandoned facility without substantial renovation costs.
