This bill enacts the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact, which aims to increase public access to professional psychological services by allowing for telepsychology practice across state lines and temporary in-person, face-to-face services in states where the psychologist is not licensed. The compact also enhances states' ability to protect public health and safety, encourages cooperation among states on licensure and regulation, facilitates the exchange of information on psychologist licensure and discipline, promotes compliance with psychology practice laws, and gives compact states the authority to hold licensed psychologists accountable through mutual recognition of compact state licenses.
