AI Summary

This bill establishes a procedure for the disposition of abandoned manufactured or mobile homes and associated personal property. The key provisions are: 1. Definitions of important terms such as "abandoned," "community owner," "commissioner," "inventory," and "value." 2. Outlines the requirements for a community owner or landowner to file a complaint with the court for the disposition of an abandoned manufactured or mobile home, including details about the home, personal property, ownership, and liens. 3. Allows the court to appoint a commissioner to handle the sale of the abandoned home and property, including advertising the sale, receiving bids, and distributing the proceeds. 4. Provides procedures for the public sale of the abandoned home and property by the sheriff, including allowing lienholders and the community owner/landowner to credit bid. 5. Requires the commissioner to disburse the sale proceeds in a specified order to pay off debts, taxes, and liens before any remaining funds are paid to the owner or the community owner/landowner. 6. Amends existing law to clarify that this new process for abandoned manufactured/mobile homes supersedes the previous process for lost, stolen, or abandoned personal property.
