This bill removes psilocybin and psilocyn, the active compounds in "magic mushrooms," from the list of Schedule I controlled substances in Hawaii. It requires the Department of Health to establish designated treatment centers for the therapeutic administration of these substances. The bill also establishes a review panel to assess the effects of this measure and report to the legislature over the next five years. The panel will cease to exist in 2026.
