This bill requires the New York State Department of Labor to post and annually update the names of employers that employ 50 or more employees who work at least 26 weeks per year and at least 10 hours per week, and who receive public assistance, such as Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, the Earned Income Tax Credit, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. The purpose of this bill is to increase transparency and accountability around employers that rely on public assistance programs to support their workforce.
