This bill amends the Public Housing Law to require a housing authority to consult with and obtain approval from an affected resident advisory board before leasing or selling any lands, buildings, structures, or facilities owned, leased, or otherwise controlled by the authority. The resident advisory board must issue a letter evidencing the majority vote of its members after such consultation. This amendment also specifies that any lease or sale must be done in accordance with federal rules and regulations applicable to the disposition of property belonging to a housing authority.
