This bill amends the general business law to prohibit food delivery platforms (such as third-party food delivery apps) from listing a food place (such as a restaurant or food truck) on their application or website without first entering into a written agreement with that food place to allow the platform to take orders and deliver food from that establishment. The bill also requires food delivery platforms to remove a food place from their platform within 5 business days of receiving a written request from that food place, and imposes a $500 per day fine on platforms that fail to do so.
