Bill Summary
AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to requiring that notice be given to the community boards when there is a change in service furnished upon the rapid transit facilities or the omnibus line facilities of the New York city transit authority
AI Summary
This bill amends the Public Authorities Law to require that the New York City Transit Authority provide at least 30 days' written notice to the community board whose jurisdiction includes the rapid transit facility or omnibus line facility when there is a substantial or general change in the level of service furnished on those facilities. The previous requirement to notify the mayor and the Board of Estimate has been removed, and the new requirement is to notify the applicable community board instead.
