This bill amends Section 234d of the Michigan Penal Code to prohibit the possession of firearms in the Michigan State Capitol Building, in addition to other locations such as churches, courts, and establishments licensed under the Michigan Liquor Control Code. The bill maintains exceptions for security personnel, peace officers, and individuals with permission from the owner or agent of the premises. The bill also includes an enacting section that states this amendment will not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 35 of the 101st Legislature is also enacted into law.
