This bill provides for an independent role for certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) in New Mexico. The bill also expands the scope of practice for CRNAs, allowing them to prescribe and administer certain drugs and therapeutic measures, and requires the nursing board to adopt rules for a prescriptive authority formulary for CRNAs. Additionally, the bill establishes an expedited licensure process for CRNAs licensed in other states.
