This bill amends the Wilderness Act to authorize U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to conduct certain activities within wilderness areas to secure the U.S. international land borders. Specifically, the bill allows CBP to access structures and infrastructure, execute search and rescue operations, use motor vehicles and aircraft, conduct patrols, deploy tactical infrastructure and technology, and construct and maintain roads and physical barriers. The bill requires that these activities be carried out in a manner that, to the greatest extent possible, protects the wilderness character of the area.
