This bill creates an "Elder Workforce Development in Rural and Tribal Communities Task Force" to be convened and supported by the Secretary of Aging and Long-Term Services. The task force will conduct an asset mapping and gap analysis to determine the availability, accessibility, and need for services that support elder independence and elder workforce opportunities in selected rural counties and tribal communities. The task force will provide analysis and short-term and long-term policy and funding recommendations to ensure the availability of home- and community-based services for older adults and to equip current and potential members of the elder workforce with appropriate training, education, and career opportunities. The bill appropriates $100,000 from the general fund to the Aging and Long-Term Services Department for the task force's expenses and staffing.
