This bill enacts the Online Revenues and Expenditures Transparency Act, which requires the development of a single, searchable budget database website accessible to the public at no cost. The website will include information on annual state expenditures or funding actions provided to any entity, recipient, or agency, such as the name and location of the recipient, the funding source, the amount of funds appropriated, and a description of the purpose. It will also include information on bond debt payments, local aid to cities and towns, annual revenues, annual bonded indebtedness, and links to relevant state audits or reports. The bill requires the website to be operational by February 1, 2023, and to retain information for at least the past 10 fiscal years.
