This bill amends the New Mexico Insurance Code to increase, eliminate, and create new insurance fees. The key changes include: increasing fees for annual continuation of insurer certificates of authority, reinstatement of certificates, filing charter document amendments, and filing annual statements; creating new fees for filing applications related to mergers, acquisitions, redomestication, and nonprofit health care plans; increasing fees for producer licenses, appointments, and temporary licenses; increasing fees for surplus lines broker and brokerage business entity licenses; increasing fees for adjusters, insurance consultants, and viatical settlements; increasing fees for advisory organization licenses, premium finance company licenses, and health maintenance organization certificates of authority; and increasing fees for third party administrator licenses and annual reports. The effective date of the bill is July 1, 2021.
